Greene County has three school districts with students who average performance at the 90th percentile statewide and 97th percentile nationwide
The Jefferson-Scranton Community Schools are made up of five buildings, where 200 staff members educate approximately 1,300 students K-12. The Jefferson-Scranton Community Schools are recognized by state school officials as being outstanding. Paton-Churdan Community Schools are located in northern Greene County, has a staff of 25 certified and classified personnel educating 150 students in grades K-12. East Greene Community Schools are made up of 3 small communities: Dana, Grand Junction, and Rippey, all located on the east edge of Greene County. The Middle/High School is located in Grand Junction and the Elementary school is located in Rippey. There are 86 students in K12. East Greene is a progressive district with a strong emphasis in technology with approximately 200 computers for the staff and students to use.
